What Gasoline Would You Buy
I always use top tier premium gasoline. The majority of the time I buy my gas from Kwik Trip, which is the only company in my area that has posted on their pumps "Top Tier Gas - Guaranteed". Have been buying it for over 15 years and never had a fuel system problem on any of my vehicles. Mobil is another top tier choice that I have locally. Locally all the gas contains ethanol and the premium brand is 93 octane. I have the option to drive 14 miles one way (28 miles round trip) and buy no ethanol 91 octane premium from either Kwik Trip, Mobil or Shell. I definitely get better gas mileage with the no ethanol 91 octane gas but I can feel the car has better performance using the 93 octane ethanol gas.

If you've always had good luck with the gas you've always bought, I'd say stick with it. I buy gas for mine from a local station that sells top tier gas but is not one of the major brands (i.e., Texaco, Shell, Mobil, etc.) and have never had a problem.

I've been driving for over 35 yrs and have owned more cars than I could count and have always bought fuel from whoever is the cheapest in the area. Never had a "fuel related" problem.
Not disn. Just answering your question.
I do use 91-93 octane in the Vette tho as it's modified and tuned for it. Even that I buy from whoever is cheapest, usually costco.

All of the premium gas that I am aware of in Wisconsin that is 93 octane contains ethanol. I have taken a few trips this summer outside the five counties that are required to sell only ethanol gasoline. Filled up in Green Bay and Wisconsin Dells and the premium gas was all non ethanol 91 octane. I have never gotten better gas mileage with ethanol blended gas.

Chevron 91 is the only thing that goes in my vette. The main reason is the Techron with every tank since I had to replace both fuel sending units. It's been over 6 years and fuel gage is showing good readings.

I only use Chevron or Texaco because of the Techron. Also carry a bottle of Techron in case I'm travelling and can't find one of these. Used Mobil for a while and began to have sending unit problems so I switched and the Techron solved the problem.

Canadian Chevron 94 octane has no ethanol, At least here in Vancouver. All the others do have it that i know of. I usually use Chevron 94 in the Vette but in my other cars I use whatever kind is nearest when my tank is empty. I have never in 40 years had a gas related failure. Lucky I guess.

I use Chevron and Shell, locally whenever I can. Have the added Techron.
When travelling, try to always use a good brand name, to include Mobil, Costo and others.
You need to try to avoid small mom & pop type stations, in small out of the way rural areas. It is possible that the fuel could set in the tank, underground, too long. It will accumulate moisture, and octane will deteriorate with time.
I was involved in a gasoline study, all over the mid west (Illinois, Iowa, Wisc, Michigan, and Minnesota) quite a few years ago (in the 80's), of true octane, at stations, compared to octane rating on the pump. It was a bit frightening, the rusults...
The results of true octane ratings, was much better (closer to advertized) at very busy stations, of major name brands.
Busy stations continually fill and refill their tanks, which 'should' lend it self to fresher gas. One can only hope, I suppose....
Also add a bottle of Techron, every few tankfulls.

I have always used Shell in all my previous custom vehicles and started to do so in the newly acquired C5 but, I started to have the dreaded fuel sender issue. Switched to Mobil 93 and I have never had the problem since.... I really don't know what gives here and I know shell V-Power is good but I think I'm gonna have to stick with Mobil.

No 93 in my state. Car runs just fine on 91. Would be thrilled if I could find ethanol free gas though.
I always wonder how many other people are actually using premium gas...

I definitely get better gas mileage with the no ethanol 91 octane gas but I can feel the car has better performance using the 93 octane ethanol gas.
There is simply no proof that E10 is harmful for C5 corvettes. They were designed to run on it.
You'll probably get 1%-2% worse mileage from E10 compared to non-ethanol gasoline.
You will be able to get better performance from E10, but I don't think you'd be able to realize those gains without changing the tune on your car (unless the non-ethanol gas is so bad its making the ECU change to the low octane ignition table).

Thanks to all that provided their input. I am going to stick with the local top tier 93 octane ethonal blended gas. My car has better performance and runs smoother on this gas. I was told that this Kwik Trip station is the busiest Kwik Trip in the state. It sure would seem that way because no matter what time of the day I pass it, it's always full of cars pumping gas. Of course I have no idea how much of that is the 93 octane premium.
I tried the 91 octane non ethonal for awhile but my engine did not have the same performance and would ping when going WOT. Maybe the 91 octane non ethonal was old or bad and really wasn't 91 octane. Plus I was using a gallon of gas just driving to and back from the gas station.
