Not unique to Corvette. There are jerks who own other cars as well.

Now that I have an attention-getting car, I am studiously polite on the road. I don't want any trouble.

I would have confronted the jeep driver and escalated his little joke to a much higher level of fun.

Sure, pull guns over a stupid parking job on the Vette owners part.

Good for the Jeep driver. He should have parked closer.

Then the Vette owner would've had to wait for the Jeep to move. The ensuing confrontation would have been priceless.
Although I don't condone malicious defacing of anyone's ride, if there ever was justification, this would be it.

I saw that. What a douchebag!

And you are exactly right. Guys like that give us all a bad name.
I park out at the end of the parking lot, but never like that.

He's lucky he didn't get his Vette vandalized taking two of the best parking spots. Nothing wrong with taking 2 spots if the lot is half full and you park as far away as possible.

That particular Vette owner was a real jerk. I'm really surprised that the Jeep owner didn't park closer so the door couldn't be opened.

He read my mind! Usually the first who pulls, wins.

Seriously though. I don't have an issue with people in nice cars taking two spots. If they do, at least park far away so they are not taking prime ones.

And the idiot even checks his car to see if there's any door ding on it...... Idiots like that shouldn't be allowed to buy a Vette !

If you want to insure no one dings your car, park it out away from the crowd !!

What a moron !

My other car is a lifted 4runner - I wonder if I would have done the same! I'll admit I've done the diagonal-park-job but not at the front door...

He was already in the far left hand space and had he parked over as far to the left as he could have, his car would have been very safe and mostly unnoticed. I'm surprised he could even open the door far enough to get in.

With highly affordable C5s and C6s officially in the sub-20K range now (at least out here- there are many on c-list with high miles for $17-$19K), the non-enthusiast element has begun to show its face, just like they did when C4s became affordable in the late 90s. I think the average person out there doesn't realize that there really are two kinds of Corvette drivers out there.

As collectors and protectors if the brand, it's incumbent upon all of us to represent our car in a mature and "car guy (or girl!)" kind of way. The world knows our cars kick a$%, and we don't need to tailgate anyone, especially some speeding Honda, Mustang or lame Dodge product to "stand up" for ourselves. I may pin it every now and then, but that's for me, not for the jealous 6 cylinder Challenger driver next to me. Actually the V8s are lame too. Don't ask how I know.

But, as a highly identifiable brand and driver, we really should do our best to avoid reinforcing the existing negative stereotypes.

I park right in front of the front door and take up a ton of space every time.

I had a Ferarri 458 park next to us at lunch yesterday. Parked sideways.
We were near the back of the lot so I have no issues with that.
Its what I would have done if I were him.

So what you are saying is that I shouldn't mod my car like the one that you posted?

Shoot. I have been saving up for that too.
