Default Wax and paint

I just ordered some Zaino for the first time!!! I can't wait to get it in and try it... I have read over and over that some people love it and others will rag on it and try other stuff... I don't really care, I just want something better than Mothers or NuFinish!!! I can't wait to put it on my motorcycles, tuck, and C5!!! Anyhow, for my pewter C5, There are a couple of little issues with a chip and a small scratch. I was thinking of trying to apply a very small bit of touch up paint and then try clay barring it... It probably won't bring it upto my expectations and I'll probably still be upset about it, but does anyone have a brand of kind of pewter touchup paint that they recommend?

Get a bottle of factory touch up paint. Worked very well when I had my pewter '00.

Did you go to a local Chevy Dealer for it or order it online somewhere?

I have used both and it is a better match and application to go to dealer and get the real stuff. It cost a little more but there is no comparrison IMO. I have used it to touch up little nicks and U can't tell where they were. Good luck

Apply the touch up a little at a time with a toothpick. Gives you a lot more control than the brush or the pen. Let the loins sit in the chip and the paint will slowly drop into the chip.

Not so for me. Not with torch red anyway. The dealer paint was too dark.

I had heard about using a tooth pic... I was told to get an extra fine tooth pick and a magnifying glass to really see what is going on... I was also told that if it is kinda of deep to just do one drop/filling a day until it is built up somewhat to cover it up...

I agree Automotive Touchup. Great match on magnetic red. Get a tube of the clear coat when you order your paint.

Go to a hobby shop and get a real artist paint brush.. one with the smallest hairs. a toothpick is my second choice but the droplet is still too big.. I bought a 3 dollar artist brush with fine hairs. with about ten short hairs.

I'll have to check that out. I know around my area, there are lots of art stores and such... Big Art school in this town...
