I finally drove the car today for the first time in awhile and for the first time with the winter tires, so I snapped a couple photos.
235/45/18 Michelin PA4's on 4x 18x8.5 C6 front wheels:
The tires perform very well at least in 30F dry weather. I don't really intend to drive the car much/any in snow/salt but with these tires it won't be a problem if I do. They grip a LOT better than my Bridgestone RE-11's at these temperatures, it's pretty impressive how much traction I have especially since they're only 235 wide all around.
For those wondering: traction control and active handling work just fine, I took the back roads home and gave them a bit of a workout. The rumors about equal size tires making the computer crazy are simply not true.
Came across a deal on some silver Camaro SS wheels 17x9" similar to the C4 ZR1 style.
Mounted 245/45/17 Nokian Hakkapelita R2 winter tires.
I know it is definitely early in the season for Massachusetts, but I didn't want to be changing tires in the cold again.
I can definitely tell the rear tires are skinner from the feel already, but.. so far so good.
