Default Hesitates on acceleration

I have a stock '04 6spd with about 49K miles on it. On 'occasions' when I start to accelerate from a stop normally it kind of hesitates for moment then accelerates on fine. Doesn't do every time or everyday .. anyone have any thoughts to the possible 'problem'? I do use top tier 93 name brand gas - Exxon, Shell, Chevron.

Does it do it with the Active Handling off or the Comp mode?

Just another thing I thought I would mention.. have you added the shift skip delete. Not related to your question but I think worth mentioning if you haven't.

Active handling is always on and the skip shift bypass was first thing added ! It was also first thing I put on my previous '01.
The hesitation is just momentarily on occasion when I first start to take off from a stop.

Does it only do it when the engine is cold? Try cleaning your MAF and throttle body. Costs nothing.

Sorry, what I was wondering is if it does the same thing with the AH off or in Comp mode...or have you ever tried that to see if there is any difference?
Love that skip shift.

No, it usually does after it's warmed up I believe because it will happen on the way to work or on way home sometimes .. usually I've been driving for 15 - 20 minutes when I notice it. I will give the MAF a cleaning and see if that helps anything.

I might try turning off AH and see that makes a difference.

As long as you have it apart, clean your throttle body too.

Not the threadjack, but mine only does it on cold starts. It only does it for about the first 2-4 minutes of driving. I've cleaned the MAF but not the throttle body. I changed my wires and plugs as well with no luck.

I don't 'think' I'd need plugs and wires at this point since I only have 49K on it - but I guess one could still go bad.

I had a slight hesitation on mine a few years back, under WOT.. only had around 50K miles as well, and I changed my plugs and wires, and it's purred like a kitten since
