Default Drivers window motor stripped, need advice.

Of course it had to happen when we had some light rain tonight, window rolled down and immediately knew there was a problem.
The motor still functions but no movement from the window, i managed to destroy my window switch/door lock while removing the panel along with the door reflector so the night is just getting better as we go.
When i got the panel off i noticed one of the nuts that hold the window motor had fallen off and the other two were loose which explains why i had the problem with the motor.

So my question is should i look into just replacing the motor or do the whole regulator etc?

I have done some searching and have seen mixed opinions on aftermarket ones vrs OEM.
Last issue is the panel that is stuck to the door the water deflector is in really bad shape so need to figure out a remedy for that one also.

Any help etc is greatly appreciated.

Contact one of the guys that recycles C-5s, he'll have a replacement part in stock.

Can U not just replace and tighten the motor fasteners and see if it works or am I missing something? Good luck

There was vendor that posted up just the other day with great prices on new GM regulators. A quick search should find it.

CorvetteMods is selling new ones now for $99 plus shipping. I just ordered one this week myself.

Of course they posted this the day after I bought a good low mile used one (plus DCM)...I won't need the used one, will offer it to you for $50 plus shipping if interested. PM me.

I just replaced mine with an aftermarket one for $53 off of Ebay. I am not sure about the long term, but the motor fit perfect with little adjustment and runs just as good as the old one.

Hey bro... I would call Marc at Vettenuts first....may save you some money and he's not going to sell you some junk... he may have a very lightly used one out of a 04. Just sayin.
Lovely weather there today... you should take a cruise on Owen K. You just might become a member of the Owen K club.

Nice to see someone familiar with this area, the corvette club here is a really great group.

I got a new regulator in the mail yesterday but with all the snow cannot find the motivation yet
