Gatorback Part Number
Is the Gatorback serpentine belt part number 4060802 for a YR 2000 vette? If have a chirp that goes away when the cars warms-up and stops squeaking when I apply water to it.
Thanks

That's the belt for the alternator/power steering I just bought for my '02 Coupe. I plan to install it and the AC belt (4040420) this week sometimes.
I just checked the part # for MY 2000 & it's different than mine. According to Amazon, your car takes 4060798 for the Continental Elite (Gatorback) Poly-V Belt for the alternator/power steering. The AC belts are the same for both years, according to Amazon.

I thought it was 4040420 and 4060802 for all years... that's what I ordered for exactly the same symptoms (chirp goes away when sprayed or warmed up, and only started when the temp started dropping).
I wonder if the 1/2" (802 = 80.2", 798 = 79.8") difference would be taken up by the tensioner...?

Got my Continental Elite (previously known as Gatorback) belts in last week. Replaced them Saturday, chirp is gone.
In my case this was with 1 1/2 year old belts, a Dayco and a Napa. I can't say which was chirping, as for the small extra $ I just replaced both at the same time.
Super easy to replace BTW. For those who say the AC belt has to be, or is even easier done, from below... did both from atop in maybe 5 minutes pulling, new ones placed in 10 minutes at the most.
