I finally got new wheels and I like them. Only thing that bugs ms is the poke in the front and rear. I thought I was getting wheels that were flush on the front and maybe a very slight poke in the rear. I was wrong...What are you thoughts and any advice......Thanks
You asked for opinion...I don't sugar coat... trying t6o be tactful, the wheel design is nice
the offset of the wheels is wrong... I personally do not like wheels and tires that stick out beyond the fender. IKM Old, a design engineer, and have very critical opinions on legal, and aesthetics... However you will find any people on this forum who think having wheels and tires stick out is cool... I cant give you anything but my opinion. I would prefer to have the wheels inside the fenders... You can not do anything to bring them in using these wheels.
They are far from unacceptable to many... who ever you bought the wheels from did not give you the correct offset . these questions are very subjective.. here is an example of what some people think is cool... however I would never be caught dead in a car with this type of setup

I understand your concern. I would not like the tires protruding past the fender either. Do you know what offset the wheels are and what width wheel you bought?
If it bothers you then return the wheels for ones with the correct offset. As stated, the design is very nice and you could consider flares, but that expense is an order of magnitude greater than returning the wheels for ones correct for your the C5.
I like the wheels and feel they are not far enough out of the lip to be a real concern, but if you are not happy with them as is, then go for a change if it's possible. I ran 315's on my '94 with the recommended offset and still stuck out about 1/4" or so.
Your pictures are all at a slight angle, so it is difficult to see how much tire is actually "protruding". For example, if your rears are the usual 19x11/55mm offset Forgestar fitment, then you should be fine with the popular 305mm wide tire width. With the Z06 alignment specs, nothing but the sidewall will really be seen from the front or rear of the car. With a Z06-spec alignment, you should have a very flush fitment. You are fine. Now, lower that thing.
Can you snap a picture of the fronts? Stand next to the fender and snap the picture looking down at the top of the tire. I am guessing that only the sidewall can be seen. The curve of the C5 wheel openings is deceiving. The top of the tire tread will be fully covered by the fenders, with tread only seen towards the bottom.
Here is a picture of another member's car with the exact same fitment as yours (assuming same 305mm tire size). Lowered with Z06 alignment specs, nothing pokes but the sidewall. The fenders cover all the tread. Nice and flush, aggressive and mean!
I have the same wheels and by the looks of it tires sizes as well and I have a very slight poke front and rear but it doesnt bother me. the only thing about it that bothers me is that it kicks more dust up on the side of my black car My car is also slightly lowered on stock bolts. It is a very mean look if you ask me
I love them and want them, I think they look perfect! What are the wheel and tire sizes, where did you get them? I think their offset combined with the stock ride height looks mean.. Good job!
I have the same Forgestar wheels and likely the same sizes. They are made for the C5 with only limited offsets. Tires make a big difference in poke as does th amount of lowering (albeit to a much lesser degree). You don't state what size tires and brand you are running. Two tires the same exact size from two different mfgs can measure different.
I'm guessing you got 18x9.5 +50 fronts and 19x11 +55 rears. When I was purchasing I did a TON of research on tires and settled on 255/40/18 up front and 295/35/19 out back in a Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Michelins ran a bit wider than others. The front fit right on and the rear just has a bit of the sidewall bulge out, no tread blocks at all. I'm lowered all the way out back on stock bolts and have the fronts removed completely.
I actually have 18x9 in the front with a 265 tire...The rear is a 19x10 with a 285. I was told they would look exactly like a 18x9.5 with a 265 and 19x11with a 295 when looking at the and the only difference is that the bigger wheels go deeper into the wheel well.
I am running Hankook tires and the offset was like 44 and 43 or something along those lines. I was questioned the offset and even asked Forgestar and they said it would
sit the same as the wheels you state with 55s....

Here are some pics but it is hard to get the best angle..
