Want Undetectable Head / Cam upgrade
I am looking for the ultimate sleeper setup. I have a 98 Vette with the 853 heads. I have put an LS6 ported intake and TB, Vararam, and LG Pro headers (with cats). Now I am looking at engine mods, but I want the heads to LOOK original and I want the cam to SOUND original.
What are my options? And what kind of power can I expect?

U already posted same thread in Tech section, u can do so but u dont have to.
U have few choices:
Port ur heads, send it TEA and get 1.5 stage or stage 2, get Lpe GT2-3 cam/springs a tad bigger than Z06 cam, street tune and call it a day.
Get LS6 or LS2 heads for cheap $500 bucks and GT2-3 cam/springs, or Lpe GT11 cam, this one requires dual valve springs tho, High lift cam so torque will be all over broad.
Skip engine mods as too much labor work for mere 50 hp, get teh 4.10 gears and dont turn back.

Gears are definaetly a great mod to do. As for cams you can do an ls1 or LS2 Cheatr cam. That is hardly notcible. Get a set of ported LS6 heads and your done.

That's what I was going to say.
I like my cars sound and rumble, but its not sleeper.
Ive seen and heard several forced induction cars and they sound stock until you jump on it. then your reading their license plate.
Put a TI exhaust and they will never see/hear it comming

You got the intake so match it with 243's heads (ported would be good) and perhaps a mild stick (like the MTI Stealth II). This is how I started and it was OK...for awhile

Look into the Thunder Racing Cheater Cam. I've seen some pretty amazing gains from that and a set of ported heads. It sounds, and obviously looks stock, but those two items and a set of headers on an F-Body put down 430 rwhp.

to the op...why do you have headers?
sleeper cams usually don't make a lot of peak hp, but have a broad power band as mine only fluctuates ~10hp from 5500-6800 and outruns many larger cams w/ narrow power bands...nonetheless my sleeper h/c package gained ~90hp over bolt-ons...I also have 4.10s

don't get me wrong I love the sound of a cammed car(had them), but to me it's more of a challenge to build a fast car that doesn't sound like it...love the looks on peoples faces too when it's faster than it sounds

It is possible Lingenfelter has a 480 Chp package and that sucker dont make any noise even with LT headers ofcourse Cats should be present. They use GT11 cam along Lpe ported LS6 heads, check youtube for some GT11 cam how it idles, put some FAST intake and make it 500 brake HP and if mustang pulls beside than it would be a bad day for him.
