Default TPS lifespan

What is the lifespan of the batteries in the TPS moduals?
Does the lifespan depend on time or mileage?
I have a 'oo coupe with 17K miles, and I am going to buy
Cray Scorpion Wheels. Should I install new sensors when I
mount the wheels?

I have heard they are suppose to last around 7-9 years. Mine are still working on my 01 coupe that has 100k+ miles.

I don't know about your "old style" sensors, but as to the newer style ('01+), I would think mileage would be a greater variable factor than time. My understanding is that the TPS will go "dormant" when not being used (i.e., driven), which would prolong battery life. Presumably at some point the battery will only hold its charge for so long, regardless of whether it's been used or not.

My dealer told me the books said ten year life. But his experience (and mine) is that seven or so is about the run of it. This is in the earlier ones - my car is a 1999, and they all died last spring.
