Default Check Engine Light -- DIC Code P0420

Every month or so, my check engine light will come on with the corresponding code of P0420 (TWC System Low Efficiency Bank 1). Using the DIC, I can reset the code and it turns off the check engine light. That lasts for a while and then repeats.

It all started when I had my LG Motorsports Street Series headers installed, so I'm thinking it is exhaust related. Should I be concerned with the code? Any ideas on what I need to do to have the condition causing the code corrected?

Thanks,

Larry

Default It's Your Rear 02 Sensors...

happened to me after my headers install, and you will get the other side too (PO430) due to the increased exhaust flow ...2 options: Tune OUT the rear 02 sensors using the "HP Tuners Program"....or, install 02 Simulators.....

Thanks for the replies. Haven't seen the PO430 code yet, probably just a matter of time. I just wanted to make sure that that code did not indicate any potentially damaging condition. If it is the O2 sensors after the Cats, looks like it may be more of a nuisance with the Check Engine light than anything harmful.

If it gets too annoying, maybe I'll invest in the O2 simulators or HP Tuning.
