Default Battery?

I recently traded my 2000 coupe for an 03 coupe. The dealer told me they had just put in a new battery. The battery is an AC Delco with 550cca. The original battery is 600 cca. Will this be a problem? I have had a charge system failure message a few times.

If I remember correctly mine 2003 has an AC Delco professional. Think it is around 700 CCA. The original owner had the dealer replace it before I bought it. I can go check it in the gararge if you need me to!

Thanks I was just wondering if the smaller battery would be a problem.

In Florida's warm climate, you should be fine with a new 550 CCA battery.

Default OEM Battery

Hi, the original AGM side post battery in my 03 vert was 525 cca. The battery is quite adequate.
Good Luck

2003 GM Corvette Service Manual calls for 500 CCA with 80 minute reserve capacity.

Here's my OEM battery. It lasted 7 years before I retired it (not because it died). Note the CCA number - it was certainly more than adequate for my 01 that has the upgraded stereo package.
