Default Max bore size for an LS2 block

I am getting some conflicting info with regard to the maximum safe bore size for an LS2 block. Some say 4.030", others say something less than that. SO, to anyone that has actually done it with success, what is the safest maximum bore size I can go with?? My application would be N/A, 4" stroke.

Another question, I assume that if I were to order some "off the shelf stock" Diamond (or any manufacturer) pistons that are advertised for a 4.030" bore, that they would arrive slightly under 4.030" in diameter which would allow my machine shop to bore the cylinders to match the pistons and allow for the required piston to wall clearance without going over 4.030" in bore size?

Thanks in advance!

Steve
