Indiglo gauge install, any one done it?
Just got my indiglo gauges in the mail today, just wondering if anybody else has installed these, and if you got any tips or tricks I might be able to use. Much thanks in advance!

he's got a complete install with pictures!
I followed it to do my indiglo gauge install, you will want to take the power for the indiglo gauges from the dimmer switch on the cluster. I found the power on the green wire coming from the dimmer switch. you can connect the ground wire to anything metal behind the dash.

You can also grab the properly switched power source from the BROWN wire on the Hatch Release/Fog Lamp switch pod to the left of the steering wheel. That's how I wired mine, and it works great.

I did mine prior to knowing about the brown wiring on the cluster...but I also decided I liked another kind of gauges better since they seem to line up better on the warning lights , so I'll be going back in for second surgery on my dash....3 things to get out of the way while I'm at it:
1) Replace the Boot on the after market shifter, perhaps might even try replacing my ripper for a hurst and see if it's better...
2) I also took one of the pieces of aluminum from the 5 1/4" bays in my computer, bent it the right way, in an "L" shape, and slid it between the top of the dash pad and the slot for the bezel above the gauge cluster, the bottom of it is right above the High Beam light indicator, and on it, is....my V1 Remote indicator!
3) i used the Indiglo gauges with the flat, digital color changers...rather than the 2 color Pot. Much nicer and cleaner..
just a thought or two....

That's a great site with great detail. Seeing that much detail motivates me to give it a try.

I got mine on Ebay....About a month ago...They are awesome...
Ask C5MongooseFl....he has another web site that has really great instructions. The ones that came with the Indiglos aren't that great. But the install wasn't bad at all. Don't be afraid....the dash goes back together just fine.

Onyx, are you happy with the quality of your indiglos? I also got mine off of E-bay, and was just wondering the quality. They look really nice, I am going to install them this week. I am on my way to Chevy/Vettefest in chicago right now though, might have more mods to install after today!!

Thanks for the tip. I found them easily. Trouble is that there seems to be two different sets. One set has 'neo-Z06' lettering and a 2-color switch and the other set looks dead-on the stockers with a 6-color switch. Which set did you all go for?
Ikasakoff mentioned using the guages with the flat switch rather than the 2-color potentiometer. Is that the set that everyone here has purchased? Thanks!!

Thanks for the information! I look forward to hearing what you think about the guages after the installation! Where do you plan on installing the switch?
