Default Convertible Top Sealing

During a recent visit to the dealer for service, I inquired about new sealing rubber for the convertible top (2001) and was told it was "still available" and was $2500.

When the time comes, what are my alternative$?

Talk about a rip off! That is why the dealers are now called Stealerships!

Yeah the "stealership" guy told me to try Ecklers or some other aftermarket house. I thought that was pretty decent of him, no?

Default Paid zero fpr new front seal when windshield was replaced

Had a cracked windshield. Replaced with OEM windshield at insurance co specified shop under my comprehensive coverage. Shop said thought the rubber should be replaced also. Took 2 hours. Cost to me ZERO.
Look around and see where you can find the rubber seal for a decent price.
