Default Pistons and Connecting Rods

Does anyone know if the stock pistons and heads are forged steel or cast?

Default Re: Pistons and Connecting Rods (StormCrow)

The rods are powdered metal and the pistons are hyperutetic (sp?) which is neither forged nor cast. The crank is cast iron I believe.

The week link is the rods if you are running a lot of rpm and the ring lands on the pistons if you run a lot of cylinder pressure or have detonation.
