Johnson Controls and Exide seem to be the only 2 shops making batteries?

advance, autozone,napa, interstate, Walmart???

the Optima is about $200

i would go with the one with the best and easiest warranty process....
autozone (in the west coast) is by far the best for saving your warranty info on their system so no need to save receipts, they also have the optimas

i like to use optimas fyi

If you want a red top, check with your local Interstate guy, I got mine for $140 (dealer cost) a couple of years ago. If you can't get a deal on one, the Delco sealed battery is quite good and ALOT less money.
Nothing wrong with Die-hards either, and I've never had a warranty problem with anything Sears makes or markets.

Both the Odyssey and the Sears Platinum series Die-Hard batteries (only) are made in Missouri by a company called Enersys. Outstanding warranty as well.

YES!!!

We started using these in airplanes about 8-10 years ago. I haven't seen anyone wear one out yet. Lightweight, super reliable, let it set for a year or two it'll still have a good charge, and never have to worry about leakage.
