01 EBCM problem
Thought I would start a new thread on my problem,
I first had a code 1214C , with the service traction control-abs message. It would only come on at times when I would start the car, if I shut it off and restart the car the messages would go away, so I found the thread on repairing the EBCM. I souldered the relay terminals and reinstalled the EBCM for a test, The code 1214 went away but I now have the service traction control and ABS message with the code 1274. So I replaced the relay. I still have the message and the 1274 HC code. Can anyone tell me what is the problem ?
Thanks

c1274 ( rear TCS prime solenoid fault ) I don't have any thing that tells me which solenoid is the rear TCS prime solenoid.
When you had the module apart, its possible that you moved a solenoid coil and broke a wire that feeds a coil. Your going to have to remove the circuit board and OHM Out each coil and see if any of them are open.
All the coils should read the same. The bad part is, finding a replacement coil. They are NOT sold separately. You will need to find a a parts module and use the coils from that module.

Bill, Thanks,
I will just replace the EBCM now that I know it is the problem,
When replacing a EBCM do you know how I program it, The snapon scanner stated it would need to be programed after it was installed.

Its plug and play. Should work out of the box.

If you take the time to read ABSFIXER's list on his website of what he will repair, you will see that it's ONLY EBCM's with DTC C1214.
