Carefully examine the female pins in your OBD2 port under the dash that the scanner plugs into.

You have damaged /spread female pins and they are not making proper contact with the scanner plug. Seen it TOOOOOOOOOOOOO many times.

You can most likely bend them back or if all else fails replace the OBD 2 connector

i had/have that issue with my DLC.
Bill, where can we get mo-better pins?

For datalogging with HPT I have the parts to bypass the DLC with the 18pin D-sub connector so I can connect directly to the HPT scanner.

Well,,,,,,,,,,, I would check locally with placed like NAPA, Advance and Autozone. The Advance and NAPA here have aftermarket connector catalogs for replacement pigtails and I know the NAPA had a selection of male and female pins.

One of my local dealers had a big weather pack pin replacement set.
It was not GM .

If all else fails, contact Gene Culley and see if he can oreder you a replacement pigtail.

HAve you tried to adjust the damaged pins??

I did, but once smashed, they don't have any springiness left....if that makes sense.
And of course the pin takes a special crimper.

I just thought maybe you had sourced them......
