Default Fog Light Switch/Harness wire info

I'm looking to find out what wires are which that connect directly into the trunk popper/fog light switch.

Cheers!

Mind if I ask why you need to know? Did you unhook and now you can not figure out which way to hook back?

I do not have wiring schematics in front of me for this - but it should be easy enough to figure out. I am assuming each switch will have 12V in and an output. If you apply 12V to one of the wires and the trunk pops - there ya go But I would meter out my wires first. I do not recommend just putting 12V to random wires.

If I get the time today I'll try to google the schematic for you (I need to find the light wiring diagram for someone else in these forums anyway) - or maybe walk outside and see how easy it is for me to pop my switches out and look at the wires for you. Today was my day to work on the car anyway.

If you let me know what you are trying to accomplish (im guessing just unhooked or cut wires and now dont know how to put it back?) it might be easier for me to help ya.

I have a bunch of schematics stored on this web page. Go to the fifth one down.

Awesome! Thanks Patches!

And as for SVTBAIT's Fog light question:

Looks like Orange is feeding into the fog light switch and Orange/Black is going out.

Purple in and Yellow out looks like the FOG light indicator light.

ORANGE: Pin 1
ORANGE/Black: Pin 2
PURPLE: Pin 5
YELLOW: Pin 3

Don't see in the schematics what the trunk pop is - but that should leave two wires we have not mentioned - which will be trunk pop.

I have a Z06 (no fog lights) and I just put a fog light/trunk popper switch in the car. I will be using the fog light button to arm my two-step.

I need to know what wire controls the fog lights so I can tap into the wire.

From the looks of the schematic, would it be the orange, or the purple wire?

Orange (Pin 1) and Orange/Black (Pin 2) should be what you are looking for. If you want the indiciator to light up I believe you will then involve the purple and yellow. (with none of this wired to anything but the switch - which I am sure is what you are saying)
