Default C1214 code

The other day I started my car and the traction control and abs icons lit up.i did a code search and it was c1214 sol.valve not open.i looked up the sticky thread and it suggested to check the ground connections.i assume the ones on the driver side fender well.my question is ,should I disconnect the battery first.Also will doing this cause any other problems?i own a2002coupe.Thanks in advance.

Only the beginning, if it's an 01 or newer time to pull the EBCM out and fix the bad relay.

I reviewed your reply about your EBTCM module repair in another post last night.

These guys sound like they have their act together. They fixed your module when ABS Fixer wouldnt touch it.

Good find!

I agree Remove the EBTCM from the BPMV and send it off for repair OR attempt the repair your self.

Be careful when removing the module from the BPMV. DO NOT get agressive and pry from one area. You can SNAP off the electro magnetic coils off the circuit board:
