C6 Calipers and stock rotors?
I have Googled this over and over. People keep saying to just get everything from a C6 Z06.
That isn't always possible and not what I want.
I am thinking I want to get a pair of C6 Z06 front calipers of Ebay.
Then order a new set of slotted rotors for my C5.
It seems the calipers mount in the stock location.
I'm wondering what rotors to order.
Do I order rotors for a C6?
I'm sure I would just get pads for a C6.
Thanks.

Hi
Yeah the c6 calipers will bolt right up , think you will need braided brake hoses to suit and you may have to mod ( grind ) a small amount of the lug right near the hose inlet on the caliper ( no biggie ).
The c6 zo6 has those small pads 3 on each side of the rotor , think you can get two large pad sets now though.
Think you will have to use c6 zo6 rotors not c5`s .
The deal breaker for you might be the wheels , they have to have more clearance because of the calipers.
C6 zo6 , or plenty of aftermarket wheels available , just got expensive right there eh .
Could check out GM PARTS HOUSE think they do the whole brake kit .
Maybe you might find some c6 zo6 wheels off the bay as well
Oh and just be aware there are repro c6 wheels out there but they might have the back spacing for c5`s , so would still contact the caliper .
have fun eh

I figured I can run a set of wheel spacers till I know the actual space needed.
I want new wheels anyway.
I am really hoping the rear c5 wheels will fit on the front.
I run slicks on a set of 4 rear 18" C5 wagon wheels.

Rear C5 Z06 wheels will clear C6Z06 brake swaps... You will need the correct C6 rotors/calipers/pads and corrected brake lines.
I think the rotors are special ones.. not sure if they are stock C6 or larger C5 rotors... they sell conversion kits with everything you need ~$2K
Kit Includes:
(2) 6 Piston Front Calipers
(2) 4 Piston Rear Calipers
(2) 14 inch Front Rotors
(2) 13.4 inch Rear Rotors
(1) Set GM Z06 Front and Rear Brake Pads.
(4) DOT Steel Braided Brake Lines.
(4) Pints Motul Racing Brake Fluid.
