Default Traction !!!!!!!

Hello all

I have a 2003 Coupe .
It currently is on BFG Gforce KDW tires. Currently running 100-150 hp shot of N2O .... custom tuning....and a Vararam air box with Magnaflow exhaust ... and I effectively melted my tires at launch on 100 hp shot ...

I'm having BIG issues planting the tires @ the track and am leaning towards a set of Hoosier slick tires. I can only find slicks on 16" rim size and smaller .... can get Drag Radials in 17" and 18" rim sizes .... I would prefer to run slicks .... but don't want to have to modify rear end .....

I'm trying to find out what the smallest rim diameter I can put on the rear of an unmodified rear end.

If anyone has a similar setup and can give me any assistance ... it would be greatly appreciated .

Are you using a window switch?
you should raise the rpm for the NOS to start.
Some people lock it out in first gear.

Drag radials will work fine with this setup.
they will hold in first gear with NOS-assuming it is a 6 speed.
17" wheel with a 275DR

I hope your pulling timing and have all the safety features to go with the NOS system.

safety gear for the engine.
Fuel pressure switch: If you have a blip or low pressure you will fry your motor.
Window switch: will allow you to set the rpm when the NOS come on and off.
Full throttle switch: will only spray when you are at full throttle.
Bottle heater: to maintain a constant pressure-say 900-950 for consistent runs. Also look into a nano system in place of a heater.

the re11 is available in stock sizes if you're still on stock wheels. they will help a LOT compared to those rocks you now have. this is a quick, great handling tire too

the biggest problem with drag radials on the street is mileage and wet weather. if you have two sets of wheels they become a great idea though.

if you only have a 100 shot on a stock engine i'd be inclined to try the re11 first

Thanx for the response

I am planning to keep my BFG's for street and Y to use the others as track only tires. I can go to 150 shot and I frequent the track......... only reason want away from drag radials is I know slicks would hook up the best .

I do have the bottle heater and WOT switch .... considering a window switch .... but no fuel pressure switch. I do have a gauge on the nitrous bottle to keep pressure @ 90 psi

DR will hold that power.
I bought a C4 17" wheel and DR's for the track-a cheap setup.
First time out heat them up good and you will be fine.
