Brake light doesn't work with E brake on

Brake light doesn't work with E brake on
2002 coupe manual. Brake light comes on when you start the car but goes off after light test. E brake is on. Tried searching the forum on e brake switch location but no luck. Any one have some guidance. Thanks.
