Found this laying between the driver's seat and console. Don't know if this is a C5 part or just something that fell into the car. No markings or part number. Sorry for the poor quality of the cell phone close-up.

I've had most of my interior apart and don't recall seeing any part that looked like that, although it could be one of the clips that holds the wiring to the bottom of the seat.

Those clips are used in several places. Where you described finding it. Have you had your traction control switch plate out recently? There are two on the bottom of it. I am missing one so if you have both of yours you can send it to me and I will take care of it for you...lol.

Yes, I did have the tractional control console plate off several months back to lube and adjust the shifter. I just found the clip today, it was in plain site and I would have definitely noticed it since the plate was reinstalled and the car has been driven a dozen times, but stranger things have happened I guess. Glad it didn't cut up or damage the upholstery. I'll pull the console plate back up next time I'm with the car and take a look.

Now, to address your missing clip, I wonder if it would still hold if perhaps I cut my newly found clip in half the long way and we each shared a half
