Default sliding seat

My seat slides from front to back. Can someone direct me how to fix a sliding seat?

Yea it’s scary to look at at first but after the first side you shim it goes real fast as you gain confidence. Just have a large enough work area.

also it’s a great time to insulate and sound deaden the car too!

It's been quite the while, but I have read of someone using boards to block the seat at one end of the motion, so that the seats were jammed into one place. You can get the proper plastic shim washers from Dorman, their part 924-073. If you do fix it yourself, follow the lieblweb instructions relative to alignment -- i.e. wrap the tracks with masking tape to provide a guide on reassembly. Keeps you from having binding issues. That, and make sure you don't mix up the left and right lead screws -- one is L/H thread and the other R/H thread!
