Default Exhaust dilema with full tr6060 conversion & c6 z06 built diff

I recently did a full tr6060 conversion and c6 z06 built diff on my 02 c5 z06. I have to do an exhaust mod. I have also done a built 416, H/C/I and ysi supercharger. My question now is anyone else done this and what exhaust set up did they use or do. I am wanting to run 1 7/8 long tubes to replace my 1 3/4 ones and run full 3" x pipe , high flow cats, and rear section. It is from long tubes back I am looking for your guys input and info on. Thanks in advance and much appreciated.

Aren't you going to need a C6 based exhaust system?

yes I will. Am just confused after talking with a few people and wanted something solid to go off of. Do I run c5 or c6 long tubes, c5 or c6 off road x pipe, high flow cats and am positive have to run c6 rear section. I am just asking advice on set up to support 1000+ rwhp. Sorry if this sounds stupid but just want to know what others have run with this type of set up

Yeah, there's several guys on the forums that've done that conversion, so as soon as one of them reads your thread; you'll have some answers.

Eveything should be the same, up to the relationship between the mid-pipe (C5) and your catbacks. (C6)

I've seen a few that cut a piece about 3" out right behind the flange on the catback and then cut and welded the same piece into the part that goes over the axles/half shafts. In other words, just make the up and over part about 3" longer to the front without changing anything else.

I think you'd have to remove the center storage compartment to fit a C6 catback.

IIRC from reading you will do:
* C5 Headers
* C5 Xpipe
* Modify the C5 Axle back to fit (mainly the axle over pipes).. C6 will not work they go straight over and will not clear the the storage cubby.. You need ones that sit side to side (C5 style) or MAYBE C6 straight pipes.

if you use a c6 exhaust you will have to cut the rear tub out and refiberglass it... the above 2 posts are correct, you just need to cut a small section out of the c5 catback and reweld it in a different location... there is a sticky in the forced induction section and I believe it shows exactly what needs to be done
