The instructions that came with mine were very clear. Took me ~1/2 hour to build low profile ramps out of some wood I had, 3 minutes to back the car onto the ramps, and about 1 minute to install the thing. Great improvement. 1st to 4th, really?

can I assume that if I see the 1-4 skip shift indicator light but the car easily goes into 2nd without needing to go to 4th...that this has already been done?

Ok, so I put it on and it works great, but everytime I start the car I get a check engine light. Code 0803 up shift solenoid, which I know has to do with the bypass. Did I hook something up wrong, this can't be normal. I clear the code and can drive without it coming back on until I start the car the next time.

Thanks again! I took it back off and I hadn't snapped all the way together. I was just a little nervous because it was my first time under the car and it sits so low. It is now fixed.

Resistor is probably blown throwing that code, I think it uses a 220 ohm resistor, like 1/4 watt. When mine went I opened it up and replaced it with a 1 watt and it's been fine ever since.

Is this resistor in the skip elim. device itself or somewhere else on the car, i would think it is in the device.

It's the entire device, that's all that's in it is a single resistor.
