Default Clutch problem

My clutch is grabbing low when releasing the pedal then the next 3/4 of the release is like nothing is there. Sometimes it stalls if i dont let it out slow enough for it to grab at that lower 1/4 of the release. Is this fluid or clutch gone?

If I am reading what you are trying to say is that the clutch pedal only needs to be pressed down 2" or so to engage and disengage? Personally, that is how my car is. I only put the clutch pedal to the floor for starting. All my shifting is done with very minimal pressing of the pedal.

no the opposite it has to go all the way to the floor and then it only catches a couple inches from the floor up then nothing.

As a clutch wears it grabs more towards the top. How much free play do you have in the peddle. That is how far down can you lightly press the pedal before you feel resistance. Inthink you need to bleed your clutch.

So is mine. I think it is the slave cylinder. I have cleaned the old fluid out twice which helped a little bit, but this thing is still not right. Clutch pedal is too close to the floor for my liking, but it still works fine. My 2014 Camaros clutch is correct. Makes it interesting to drive each car on the same day, two completely different clutches!

With free play I mean moving the pedal with your hand until you feel resistance. You should have around 3/4 inch of movement
