Default HUD line

Hey all, I just bought my first corvette an 04 convertible. I am seeing some green horizontal lines going through the speed and rpm of the HUD. Almost looks like some kind of inference. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

Your HUD display is bad. If you want to replace it by DIY, I can provide the info. Not that hard to access but you have to pull the dash pad. It is not as hard as it sounds. Many novices have done it with no issues.

Where are you guys finding HUD's for the C5? I had to remove mine last fall to repair a broken tab. I could not locate a new HUD to purchase.

Have you tried to remove the HUD, clean the pins where it connects to the IPC and the pins on the hud its self and reinstall. Sometimes that's all it takes.

I haven't tried to pull anything off it yet or clean it. I'll try and clean it first and give it a try. Hopefully that will fix the issue.

Like Bill says, pull your DIC (the one in the car) and check the connection to the switch assembly on the left side.
No need to pull the HUD projector just yet, as that requires removal of the entire dash pad.
