Default Should EBCM (2003) look like this

Last night I removed the ebcm. The abs/tc lights are on the dash with codes C1232, 1233, 1255. The four screws that hold the cover plate to the module were almost stripped, I used pliers to brake them loose. There is a black adhesive holding the pieces together that I could not separate with flat head and rubber mallet. Glue is also smeared on the sides and someone wrote "03" on it. I can't believe it came this way from the factory. Could be a sloppy repair or salvage. Anyone ever see this before?

Not normal at all. When did you start getting the codes?

Purchased the Corvette 3 years ago this month, started getting the codes a couple of weeks ago after a storm cooked the Ctek charger while we were away. I was hoping I could repair it but thats not looking possible. May be better off with a new one.

Other than someone painting the front of the aluminum case black,, It looks normal to me. What DTCs are you getting? What does the INSIDE look like???

The black stuff on the side is not paint, it's some kind of epoxy that's very hard and seals the cover to the module. I can't remove it. Tried a straight edge screwdriver and mallet. Codes are C1232, 1233, 1255, 1283, 1248 + the dash lights.
