Help: Service tire monitoring system message!
Well, I got my new car today and swapped out the rims, they forgot to swap out the sensors though, and I am getting the message " service tire monitoring system", Is there any way that this can be fixed without driving back down to the dealership and swapping out sensors  Damn electronics :mad

I don't think there is anyway around it since guys who have aftermarket rims have to deal with it as well.
I am about to buy some new rims for drag racing,
and I am sure I will be seeing it soon enough as well.
Dam electronics, there like women, can't live with them, can't shot them :)

Hey AL, hows it going? I could drive back down to the dealer (about an hour from here) and get it done, do you think its worth it? Is there some way to turn it off with LS1edit? Stupid thing is the pressure readings work
 Thanks
 Thanks

I am not sure if LS1 Edit will help???
I would just drive down to the dealer,
and have them put the sensors back in, but it's not vital...
Unless you plan on having a flat.
Funny how spoiled we get since there aren't to many cars with this function to begin with.

You probably just need to do a sensor re-learn... dealer forgot to do it before they gave you the car... go find a magnet and get busy!

Just put Nitto 555's and chrome Z06's on last week. Opted to leave the sensors off. I hit the reset button about the same time I turn up the air and all is well.
Man what a difference those Nitto's make. Less cabin noise, smoother, better tracking. I was counting the 1/32's on the GY before I changed. Should have done it long ago.

Magnet  :D Thanks
I am not sure of the complete procedure, but I am sure if you do a search for "How to reset tire sensors" or something comparable, you will find how to do it.
