Default 1997 a4 cam help??

done tons of research and still drawing a blank!!! I want a choppy lumpy idle as possible. I have stock convertor, xs power headers, borla straights, ported throttle body, z06 intake manifold, msd wires, cai, and a tune... what will give me great hp with lumpy idle with my stock convertor? I have been looking at thumpr comp cam 275thr7 219/233 109 ??? any thoughts?

Choppy idle and stock converter, you'll be slipping in to neutral to keep it running.

In a word no, with that lsa109 that would really "thump" those thumper series cams have the sound at idle you're looking for BUT they have terrible driveablity. I would look for a cam with a lsa of 114 or 116

A choppy lopey idle is created by lowering the LSA of the cam or by having a huge split between the duration from intake and exhaust---Either way these cams require a much higher idle speed than stock --This is why people always install some sort of stall converter as with the stock converter at required higher idle speeds you won't be able to hold it still at a stop light and it will become no fun to drive----
I believe your car has about a 117 LSA STOCK----You can go to no lower than a 114 and maybe still use the stock converter as long as you keep both durations at .050 at about a max .225----You will have a noticeable lope but nothing like a cam with a 110 or 112 LSA---
