Default Drag wheel questions

I did some searches but couldn't find what I'm looking for. My question is Will a 15 inch wheel fit on the rear of my C5Z? Im looking for wheels to mount my track tires on. I plan on using a 26x10 tire.
Thanks in advance.

No they won't.
Only if you buy rear drag race spindles.

The smallest you get get on a C5 is 16" and there are only a handful of those that fit. Bogarts, Weld, 84-87 16" Camaro wheels will fit but there is still some grinding and/or hammering required to get enough clearance on those. As Ron stated, to use 15s, you'll need specialty drag spindles from LG, ECS, etc to make them work. A set of rear drag spindles are usually around the $1500 range plus labor to install. GL with your search and install. Might I ask what HP are you making?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I could just use the 16" welds. My car will probably make mid 400 on motor and high 500 on nitrous. Its nothing special. I like using a bias ply tire on a stick car over a radial although my last car (03 Cobra) went 1.6s on a Nitto.

Hoosier used to make a 12.5x29x16 several years ago, don't know if they still do. I had a pair about 10 years ago maybe a little more. Bought them from a guy that was running a Ford lightening. They worked pretty good for not having very much sidewall. Had them on a 81 Trans Am 400 with close to 450 hp. It'd carry the front end 6" out to the 60ft markers.

16s or 17s should hook with that power level (depending on a few other things). Remember not to mix bias and radials. Can get squirrel-y at the top end if you do....

M/T makes a 26" bias ply et street for a 16" wheel that might be what your looking for if going with the welds, I'm stick shift and that's what I run with the skinny bias front runners definitely easier on the drivetrain

On my C5 car I was able to use 16" wheels off of a stock C4 car in the rear---However I had to have them machined on the inside in order to have enough clearance as they were rubbing the CALIPERS-----after machining and taking off about .100 they worked
A 15 " wheel would not ever have enough clearance and the calipers would hit the wheels
PS: after adding the 16" wheels and drag radials I was able to do WOT launches at the drags with approx. 400 RWHP on my A4---My best times were in 11.90's and a 60' time of 1.70---Almost "0" wheels spin too !!! The almost 5' sidewalls worked awesome
