Stock C5 Z51 spring rates
Can anyone tell me what they are in comparison to coilovers
I found in one thread mention of it being:
C5 Z06: 526# Front, 714# Rear
It mentioned the front is the same on the Z51, so I'm gusesing the rear is greater on the Z06.
However this does not translate right as it's a leafspring vs a coil spring... wheel rate differences right?
That translates to 9.39kg/mm front and 12.75kg/mm which is greater than most coilovers and rear biased.
Not quite sure how to calculate proper comparison.
The reason I'm asking, I want to know how much the car will actually compress per pound, so when I set the height I know how much more or less the car will compress, why? LOL... as one of my driveways is really low... and I don't want to scrape... Softer = car will sit lower with passenger.
