Default C5 Spring Rates

Anybody happen to have info on spring rates? Looking at swapping out my front/rear springs for something more agressive. I currently have the "soft ride" springs FE1. I was looking at going to the C5ZO6 springs and as far as I know the springs rates for the Z06's are 526/714lbs for front/rear. I am not sure what sort of difference I am looking at when going to these. BTW I already have Z06 swaybars and shocks so i thought the new springs would work well with my current setup. any info would be great.

anyone know the part numbers for C5ZO6 springs?
I found this information on Gene Culley's April Specials post:

Z06 front suspension spring – part no. 25962573
Z06 rear suspension spring – part no. 22188038

I found a "how-to" on LS1 tech website and the part numbers for the ZO6 springs don't match Gene's. They reference a part no. 22178729 for the front spring which doesnt match. The rear spring part no. does match Gene's, however. What's the deal maybe GM changed the vendor or part no.?

any info would be great!

Thanks

Tom

Part #'s do change. Sometimes a stock number is listed instead of part #. Who knows?

Post in the technical or road racing forums. Maybe those guys can help.

look for some used springs. there are usually some in the for sale section. they will be no different than new, and you will save hundreds. brand new springs are rediculously priced.

This is from http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...f-springs.html

The "Sticky's" are a great place to find info. !
Yes, the base and Z51 cars w/A4's have a slightly beefier rear spring.
From the "Weights, Measurements, ect, ect," "sticky" on C5 General:

Spring Rates
439.66 lb/in, front; 576.70 lb/in, rear (manual trans); 588.12 lb/in, rear (auto trans) --- FE-1/Base --- Source
