DSS Carbon fiber DS vs Stock DS w/couplers
As part of my current twin turbo build, I opted to upgrade the stock driveshaft/rubber couplers to the DSS Carbon fiber shaft which also eliminates the couplers.
I weighed the different setups on a digital food scale to compare the difference.
1st: DSS Carbon fiber shaft
7lbs 0.1oz
2nd: Stock aluminum DS with rubber donut, rubber couplers and 3 bolts on each end
*note: with the DSS shaft we eliminate 6 bolts total that bolt the couplers to the shaft.
8lbs 1.0oz
Just thought this may be of interest to folks looking at their options.
