Gotcha!
I am creating a plugger's garage workshop. Got a low-rolling mechanic's work seat as a present but realized I need a jack, and at least one pair of stands to work on my C5. Many are offered on-line, Walmart, auto stores, etc. Must be lo-profile. Are there any garage monkey's out there who can recommend a specific brand/model that has worked well over time. Say in the $100 - 150 range?
I've owned and operated garage jacks before but there may be some little-known quirks particular to working on Vettes that I may need to avoid or at least be aware of before buying. Thanks.

Many, including myself, drive up on 2 x 10's and use a regular floor jack.

Harbor Freight has many options and, with 20% coupon, could be in your price range and low profile.

Very effective and very cheap. The 2 x 10s also work well when using Race Ramps....

Don't forget you need jacking pucks when you lift it so you don't crack the plastic body side panels. Do a search on here - innumerable threads.

Or get the special steel adaptor that replaces the standard lift pad on a regular floor jack. It has a keyed top which goes into the slot in the C5 frame rail. My car is lowered maybe an inch or so, so I drive up onto a 2x6 then I can get the jack underneath. I like it because it effectively locks the jack into the frame rail and so it cannot slip and damage the fiberglass.
