Default differential removal

I'm ready to remove the differential to replace tranny output seal while it's still in the car. Cradle out, exhaust out, torque tube cover off and removed tranny shift cable . (Automatic) Slid the diff. back and of course it hits the plastic trunk compartment. I only lowered the drive tranny a few inches to get the five bolts out of the Diff. I understand the limits of dropping the tranny and shaft. I just wanted to ensure there isn't items up front I may of missed. The diff slides back to the very end of the shaft but I'm sure I'll have to go lower to get it out without damaging the other seal. Thanks up front. I'm putting a new dash in my 78 so I'm taking my time on this 2001 job.

If you go lower watch the back of the intake manifold so it does not hit the firewall

as mentioned above, if its not clearing lower the drivetrain more, just make sure the engine isnt hitting the firewall, disconnect the coupler on the throttle body

Differential came out easy. Pulled out Tranny output seal no problem. Decided to change Diff input seal and shaft seals while I had it out.. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
