Default Spark Plug Question

I am going to change out my spark plugs and wires tomorrow and was just wondering what spark plugs you guys were running. I was also wondering what gap I should set it at? All I have right now are longtube headers so I don't know if that makes a difference in what gap I should set it at. Thanks guys!

I beleive it depends on the actual plug you purchase. Many use the NGK TR55, which has a .55 gap. Most leave this gap as is. If you use an iridium plug, the factory gap may be different, which most leave as is.

I use the Bosch Iridium Fusion plugs. $8 a pop with the factory gap settings.

I use NGK TR55IX gapped at ~.056"....... I've been using them for about 4 years in the two different Vette's I've owned.

I run headers so it's pretty easy to swap plugs, for that reason I run NGK TR55 copper core plugs and replace them every 30k or so. At under $2 per plug it's pretty cheap to do too. Oh, I run 0.060" gap on mine...

I ran the TR55 at a .055 gap for a long time. Now I am running TR6 plugs at a .035 gap due to the amount of modifications I have.
