Recommendations; Z06 valve spring replacement
I have notice afew Z06 LS6 engines have had stock valve spring failure. What type of valve springs would be recommended for a stock daily driver? Just trying to replace them as a preventive measure. I don't need heavy duty racing type for a high lift cam, just stock.

For a stock car, stock springs are good.. You will get many opinions on this, most people tend to go for the full race, double springs, high seat pressure, yada yada, yada. Which is overkill, for a stock motor.
Best advice, call LG, or ECS, LPE, or vette doctors, (Your local corvette experts) see what they recommend.

I'm in the same boat as you. Thinking if I should replace them. What year is your Z06? I heard most of the 2002 had problems and a few 2003.

I do my own work. I plan to replace them before any damage. I saw one that sucked a valve and destroyed the head and cylinder sleeve.

Thanks for the Part #... I'll be doing this over the winter as a precautionary deal.

In the same boat as you. After some research (single vs. dual springs) and based on recommendations from other CF brethrens, I picked up some PAC-1218's. Next step will be calling up Gene Culley for some other needed parts before I jump into the deep end of the pool and attempt to DIY it.

Good choice going with the PAC 1218's - from all my readings they seem to be the ones to go with.

I just went through this about a month ago. I decided to go with Comp 918's. Direct drop in fitment. Installation was a breese. Also consider doing the Comp Rocker Arm Trunion upgrade at the same time. Gives you wonderful peace of mind. Hinson sells everything you need to get it done. PAC or Comp 918s, you can't go wrong.
