Well I tried to lower my car today on the stock bolts, read as much as possible and seemed very easy to do. Except both my 2 front bolts were frozen solid, sprayed the **** out of them top and bottom with pb blaster, let them soak for a while and still couldn't budge them. So naturally one of the 10mm heads started to round on mine. So I ended up having to pull the dam leaf spring completely out of the car. 4 hrs later i'm welding a nut to the one bolt so I can get it out of the dam leaf spring. Just turn the bolts they said, it will be easy they said, LOL

I swapped out my brake pads and rotors for my Carbotech/Centric track setup. I also pulled the radiator out and cleaned the debris out of it for a little better cooling, as well as a flush, for my track day at Barber's Motorsports Park this coming weekend.
Tonight I will put fresh Amsoil Torque Drive fluid in the trans and fresh Amsoil 10W40 oil in it, and she should be ready to go

600 hp and tq in a c5 is no joke, enough to take out most of the cars you would run into on the street... you can probably start messing around with some bikes now, that's a lot of fun

Today, I took the dog out for his walk, and drove in the rain. Also bedded in new brake pads, what a difference in feel going from a race pad back to a ceramic.

I did two things today, lowered the car 1 inch on all 4 corners, and installed the light black out kit. 1 inch is about all I can go, or wanna go, it's low enough and I scraped getting up my driveway before the inch lower.

Do they just bolt right up? no mods or adjustments ? And when you say what a difference can you explain that in detail.

They bolt right up - in fact, the DRM's were exactly the same length (at least on the rears) as the OEM's. My Z' is an '03. As you're probably aware, in '04 GM switched to different valving and to a Sach's shock. The '03 was a bit scary on bumpy curves at speed. The DRM's feel much more secure - no discernible wheel hop on rough roads/curves. The rear-end feels much more planted....HTH
