Default Vararam VR-B2 on Sale at CCA

Vararam VR-B2
C5 Corvette Cold Air Intakes

The Vararam VR-B2 system for the C5 Corvette has evolved several
times over the years for added performance and ease of filter
maintenance. The Vararam VR-B2 has been a Corvette Forum favorite
product since it's inception.
In the latest evolution,of this record setting system
VaraRam upgraded to a cloth filter and increased the gasket size
to insure a no leak seal VaraRam customers have asked for it
and VaraRam has delivered.

Fitment: C5 Corvette and Corvette Z06 (1997 - 2004)

Regards
Chip

I'm confused, so it's two parts for the entire system?

I've been debating myself what to get for an intake and was between vararam vr-b2 or the hallaway honker for my 2000 C5.

I was leaning towards the callaway honker but it's damn pricey. Then the other reason i was staying away from the vararam was because of reading that it was difficult to install, poor fitment, etc.. but I read their revised version three apparently requiring no cutting and being easier to change filter (another complaint with previous threads I read).

Now I am confused that you don't just buy the vr-b2 but also have to get that power duct?

You do not have to get the Power Duct. The VR-B2 will fit directly to
your stock air bridge.

If you want the Power Duct too, (it replaces your OEM Air Bridge) we
have a combo that gets you both

What about all the installation issues? I kept hearing that there used to be cutting required and even the car needing to be put on a hoist or the bumper being taken off...and that the instructions are not as they should be.

Likewise with the power duct being angled and not reaching the TB. I also read it can cause some kind of lean code?

I want it, but I am concerned as I'd like to do the install myself if I get it...

I have a 2000 C5 FRC with a stock intake right now.

A Lot of BS on the Forum...

They are difficult to install - Fascia does not need to come off, but
it is difficult to contort your arms into the fascia (Blind-Can't see) from under the car

A lift will make it a lot easier

Never had an issue with the Power Duct (these intakes are 20 years old now)

You may get a lean code until the CPU re-learns the trim

Cutting has never been needed, even from the first units 20 years ago

If you are concerned about installation - THIS IS NOT the intake for you.
