A couple of other people on this forum claim you can't use plugs with these tires. Who's right?

Jackdog, I think there may be some misinterpretation - my understanding was that it is not recommended to use a plug as a permanent fix, but it should be fine as a temp. Proper repair to maintain the tire's speed rating is an inside patch. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!)

As to whether one uses the goop or a plug, having the compressor will come in pretty handy should you find yourself in a pickle! :eek:

Your answer coincides exactly with what I was thinking. I could see no reason why you couldn't use a plug for a TEMPORARY fix. Using the "goop" for a quick fix would probably be easier but I can't imagine that stuff working as well as a plug.
