Safety Car
coming from a guy who has done just what you have (2001 Z06) 149K... I built a 414ci stroker, all the goodies, supporting mods, nitrous, suspension, brakes, wheels, cosmetics, interior... although my car will/has beaten some very fast cars. In retrospect I could have purchased a C6Z/ZR1... Love my car. It gets way more attention than a C6Z/ZR1 every time I drive it. All that being said, if I had it to do over again, I would have picked up a newer C6Z/ZR1. I currently have mine on CL gauging interest... If it doesnt' sell, NBD... I'll throw more money at it... TR6060/ZR1 diff would be my next big mod...

It's not really about bragging rights at all. That's why I said I wasn't really trying to break any records. I've had faster cars before. I love this car, but I want more power. I don't get the same rush from the power I used to. I love racing, be it on the street or at the track. I would love to do some road course track day stuff with the car and some street pulls with my friends most of all.

I'm the party pooper here. How about using some of the money for a driving school? Just go on You Tube and see what happens to over modded cars and low skilled drivers. Would hate to see such a nice Z end up on a flatbed.

I've done plenty of DE's and road course days. I've been racing all my life. I had a 900 hp twin turbo Trans Am before this car. My first car was a '71 Mach 1 with a 408 stroker and a 10 second '87 Buick Grand National after that. I'll be just fine.
