With the exhaust cool, immobilze the pipes like they should properly suspend from the hanger. Have someone start the car. If it's quite, try to immobilize it in the correct position until the new hanger goes in.
If it still rattles, the exhaust system vibration is probably touching something else along the way. Immobilize it....
Unless, something is IN the exhaust like a bolt or nut and only vibrates on start-up.
