wheels got stolen, need help finding 18" wheels
Hello Corvette folks. I just joined your fourm yesterday. I figured i would start off saying hi.
last wendsday, i parked my c6 in the driveway(had my astro in the garage doing some work to it). I opened the garage door to go to work in the morning and found my car on blocks. . Stock wheels and tires are gone. Good friend of mine gave me a legit estimate threw his work(GM dealer) and it was 7450$ out the door. I have a 1K deductable but my insurance is cuting me a check.
Anyways, i have done a quick search on the board and didn't really find anything. I want to do an 18" rear wheel conversion and i want them to be 10.5" wide so i can put a 305/35/18 tire on in the back. obviously the fronts can stay the same size wheel. has any one on here done this conversion? if so what backspacing/offset should it be. I am interested in running ZR1 replicas, has anyone seen a company offering this size in a replica? thanks for the assistance.

You won't find ZR1 replicas in that size for the rear. You will have to use front wheels for both the rear and front (if you need 18" diameter) and the offsets are different from front to back on the OEM wheels, so I'm not sure if that will work. Maybe with wheel spacers. 10" would be the max width for 18" wheels in the ZR1 type replica.
Your best bet would be to have them custom made (not ZR1) to the correct offsets and size that you need.

I had some kids pull up next to me at a stop light the other day. One of them asked if I could smoke the tires. I told him that they were over $500 each and I don't smoke them. As I drove away I thought, why in the heck did I tell them that?

I run 18" wheels all-around (for the track). There are a variety of wheel vendors/makers but I suggest you contact John at CCW wheels. They make a quality product at a reasonable price....they're well-regarded amongst Corvette owners. John's a fitment expert....tell him what you're looking to do and he'll hook you up.

I have a set of stockers WITH TPMS sensors in them.. and PS2 ZP (runflats) installed chrome 5 spoke ... tires alone are $1,895... I will sell it for just that so basically you get the rims/TPMS free if your interested. Tires are used but VERY good tread life left probably around 75-85% left. PM me if your interested
PS stock sized 19's in back DO fit 305's.

As a number of people have said if you want a custom wheel call John at Complete Custom Wheel (CCW) and see what he can provide. If you want stock OEM wheels at a much better price (~2/3 less than dealer cost) talk to Bob at House of Wheels. Both provide excellent service.

Couldn't agree more about CCW... they are good people, and have a fantastic reputation for very good reason... .
In my sig pic below, you can see CCW C10's on my '08 C6 in 18x10 front and 18x11 rear. Obviously, I bought them for track events, but would not hesitate to use them on the street.
They fit the car PERFECTLY with 275f / 305r tires. CCW knows how to comfortably get this much tire & wheel inside the wheelwells. They look natural, and fit without any rubbing - even on a lowered car.
CCW's are forged, lightweight, strong and custom made to your order in Florida (that's in the USA, btw ). Cost is about $3300/set, depending on the finish you select.
As stated earlier, take a look at www.ccwheel.com or call John Purner (the owner of CCW) directly to discuss your options.

dude that sucks so bad. even worse for me tho cause mine was in my own driveway.
anyways, i looked at ccw and i have decided. i am going to get the 505a's in a 18x9 in the front and 19x11 in the rear. i am gonna get the "hypersilver" finish as well, i love that look. the tires im gonna run are the nitto invo's 305/30/19 in the back. I think this will be a good combo. i will for sure post some pictures when ever i get them. thanks for the input guys.
