What bullbleep...turns an ordinary C6 into a racer.! What are you, 15 years old! This is a Corvette forum, not kindergarten! I was driving a Corvette when your parents were in diapers...geesh, I wonder what that thing is sitting down in my garage and the 3 ZR-1's before it....

I feel like I've entered the Twilight Zone......

This used to be a weekly banter about four years ago. And like those, I see this one locked shortly.

Be honest, forget for just one moment that you've ever heard of Z06, ZR1, C1 or corvette for that matter. Do you not think it looks good? Maybe he did it for the purpose of making his car look nicer.

so how many times have you had all those ZR1's on the track? lets see some videos of you on the roadcourses of America, and the drag strips using all that power you have to have, otherwise whats the point? So you can walk around telling everyone you had 3 ZR1's?

I should have made the title of this thread for owners of z51 or wide body conversions. But in the end I like my badges and so does my son and that's what matters. I like the car without badges myself but needed to fill that hole and I wasn't about to put an European light like some have advise me to do. These badges were made in America by Austin Barnett . Thanks again for those who complimented positive.

I think some of you folks are making too big of a deal about the OP installing some aftermarket badges on the fenders of his wide body conversion.

He hasn't installed Z06 emblems on his converted base model.

He hasn't installed ZR1 emblems on his converted base model.

All he has done is cover up the holes in his new fenders with what I think is a very attractive aftermarket emblem. It says Z51 and he has in fact the Z51 option on the car.

I guess he could have installed some silly skull emblems on the fenders, but there would be people on this forum that would make negative comments on that too.

Again, I think the car looks great with the wide fenders and the aftermarket emblems he has used.

Thumbs up to the OP .....

Saying he is posing as a ZR1 is silly!

So what does it say in the "supercharged" lettering area?

Pretty sure it says "Performance" not supercharged.

I believe he is referring to the old ZR1, the twin overhead cammed Lotus-Chevrolet engine. Not the present ZR1.

Well said. I was reading through the thread and trying to figure out where the "posing" comments were coming from. It doesn't say ZR1, or Z06 (he actually removed those) or Grand Sport or anything it isn't.

And while I don't plan on doing it to my car, I think it looks good as well.

Nice looking car and good on you for rebranding it correctly.

The average person couldn't tell a C6 from a Z06 from a ZR1 if you parked them side-by-side. For those who know a bit about Corvettes (and despite the resemblance between emblems) there's no mistaking this car for a ZR1.

Love it! Looks great, especially how the badges match the calipers.

The negativity is what will prevent many good folks from ever posting here (the forums as a whole ), some with great advise / insight to give.

If you don't like something, its fine. You can say it. The insults are what we all could live with out!

The right way could have been, " I don't like it, as a ZR1 owner it's a little insulting" opinion given and did not insult the OP. sounds a little self righteous , but don't we all from time to time
