How to remove rear sway bar
1) Remove the top two bolts and bottom two nuts securing the anti-sway bar leaving the bottom bolts which run through the lower control arm in place.
2) Swing the anti-sway bar down and out of the way.
I see the car pictured in the directions is on a 4 post type lift (i.e. wheels on the "ground" and the suspension compressed). My question / dilemma:
If my car is sitting on jack stands with the suspension in "full droop" is the sway bar able to be easily swung down and out of the way and put back on?.... Or does the suspension need to stay in a compressed stated?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I also changed the sway bar bushings on the 85 using jack stands with no problems(removed the sways) . You should be OK.
