Default Is this normal for Kenwood or any system?

I just realized that if I'm playing a disk, then change to the radio that the disk is still turning / playing while listening to the radio. Is this normal (I would not think so)? I asked this in the Audio Forum with no answer.

I started a song on the disk (Song 1) then went to the radio, waited a few minutes, went back to the disk and it was on song 3. I did this several times to makes sure and never was it on the same song I left it on.

I don't know about Kenwood but my factory radio doesn't do it. I can even pull the CD out and put it back in and have it start where it stopped.

Does your kenwood have two zones? Maybe you are just changing zone 1 and it is continuing to play for zone 2? Which isn't really applicable for a vette but might be what is happening...

Let me guess - one of the new Kenwood 2013 model units based on Android? The list of bugs seems endless...
